TRVK, Siddipet organized Training programme on crop diversification in rice fallows at Ankireddypalli (V) on 06.12.2025

Telangana Rythu Vigyan Kendra (TRVK), Siddipet has organized training programme on crop diversification in rice fallows at Ankireddypalli (V), Kondapak (M), Siddipet (Dt) on 06.12.2025. Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Coordinator, TRVK Siddipet presented importance of crop diversification and also stressed more on zero tillage maize and sunflower in rice-fallows; after tillage green gram and black gram in rice-fallows and while green gram, blackgram, groundnut, sunflower, safflower, sesamum as irrigated dry crops. Also explained in detail the zero tillage practices to be fallowed in pulse and oilseed crops and varieties for rice fallow condition under Conservation agriculture practices including crop residue retention, zero tillage (ZT), and appropriate crop rotation show great potential for improving pulse yields in rice-fallow areas rather than paddy-paddy cropping system. In this programme, Sri. Shiva Rama Krishna (MAO) and AEO (G. Pranusha) and 56 farmers were participated.
